"Gateway
to Tomorrow" is the Tracy Unified School
District’s Strategic Plan. This plan
was adopted by the Board of Education in
1999 and represents our road map to
educational success for students, staff
and our community. The five-year plan,
that has been updated yearly and
extended into the following years, is
the result of a community conference for
which 300 parents, students, staff and
community members came together to
create a vision for educational
excellence in Tracy.
“Gateway
to Tomorrow” helps the District utilize
its energy and resources to focus on
eight specific goals. These eight goals
are:
-
Quality Curriculum: Provide a
relevant and meaningful curriculum
that enables students to meet high
standards. The curriculum will
include systematic assessment and
accountability.
-
Quality Learning Environment:
Create a quality and effective
learning environment for all
students.
-
State-of-the-Art Technology: Use
technology as a tool to promote
learning.
-
Development of the Whole Student:
Develop responsible students.
-
Citizenship: Prepare students to
become citizens of the world
community.
-
Partnerships: Form partnerships
with parents, the community, and
businesses.
-
Educational Leadership: Develop
powerful educational leaders.
-
Continuous Improvement: To
continuously improve fiscal, human
resource, facilities’ and
operations’ processes to support
district goals.
It is
important to observe that it takes a
team effort to make meaningful progress
towards achieving our District’s weighty
goals and objectives. Our teachers,
administrators and support staffs work
hard every day to provide students the
quality learning experience envisioned
in our strategic plan.
