Frequently Asked Questions
about the New High School Boundaries
-
Do the boundaries refer to
my student's school or residential location?
Boundaries are referring to a student's
residential location. If a student is
on an intradistrict or interdistrict
transfer for their elementary or middle
school education, they would still attend
the high school correlated to their
residence. The High School Boundaries
do not refer to schools of attendance.
-
What will happen to
students who already have a sibling or
siblings at another high school?
Students with siblings currently attending
another high school will be able to attend
the school their sibling attends if they so
choose.
-
Will my student still be
able to apply for an intradistrict transfer
to attend a school outside of their assigned
high school boundary? Yes.
Current TUSD rules for high school
intradistrict transfer will still apply.
High School transfers will ONLY be granted
if a student is enrolled in an academy or
program not offered at their zoned high
school.
